Decompression with @jamiepyoung.uk after a week on my own with Hugo in Paris.... I was allowed as many ‘weird foods’ as I wanted!! So.... roasted pigs’ trotters, pork intestines, they were out of the braised pigs’ ears, unfortunately, but they did have the jellyfish salad, and then a few more regular dishes.... and it was all delicious!! The last photos we took in Paris (on the lock bridge the Passerelle Léopold Sédar Senghor, where couples fix padlocks with their names/photos on and throw the keys into true river to symbolise the eternity of their love...) We had an amazing time in Paris, enjoying no small amount of luxury at @thewestinparis (which for us to be fair includes hot running water and a bathtub...), but the hotel and staff were really delightful. It was fabulous to explore this beautiful, very friendly (despite its reputation!), if extortionate city again after so many years! It was the first time I have been in a big city for nearly 3 years, and Hugo’s first time in one, and it was lovely to step back into the city life, albeit briefly, and to introduce Hugo to the sights, sounds, foods, diversity, and excitement that a capital city has to offer! Parisian beer! “Brasée à Paris, bue à Paris” (“ Brewed in Paris, drunk in Paris”)... awesome beer (well, a light but strongish (5.8% Pale Ale)... the only beer they served, so they made it an excellent one! #beer #paris #peregrinology
Finally got the snails on the go! Amazing dinner with @miss_rachel_qiu.... delicious food, lovely restaurant, and really great service.
